Not even by the cover. I bought this book of poems for the sole reason that it had a poem called Telephone Poles in it. And because the word telephone poles was on the cover. Let’s just say that I’m glad I bought an ex-libris copy from the (rather excellent) anybook.biz. Part II of the book did redeem a little from the purchase I suppose. Lesson learned? No, never. If it’s got the word telephone pole or telegraph pole on the cover I would almost certainly still buy it.
