Ask a busy man
I wasn’t particularly looking for a job. No, I definitely wasn’t looking for a job at all. This one came looking for me. I am the new editor of FVM magazine w.e.f. pretty much immediately. I’ll also be doing the typesetting and magazine layout. Oh and writing a few articles too. Testing out nom-de-plumes as we speak.

PUBLISHING AGAIN VERY SOON… Navigating the borderlands of Wales, seeking to bridge the new and the familiar; the streaming of our lives, our conflicts with nature, getting older and always, where we have been and where we are going? This, at once playful, confident and whimsical new collection by Gareth Writer-Davies will be available this spring.

Judging a book by the word Telephone Pole
Not even by the cover. I bought this book of poems for the sole reason that it had a poem called Telephone Poles in it. And because the word telephone poles was on the cover. Let’s just say that I’m glad I bought an ex-libris copy from the (rather excellent) anybook.biz. Part II of the book did redeem a little from the purchase I suppose. Lesson learned? No, never. If it’s got the word telephone pole or telegraph pole on the cover I would almost certainly still buy it.
